Financial Policy
Patients are required to pay for services when they are rendered.
As a service to you, if you have medical insurance we will bill your insurance company. We accept assignment of benefits for most insurance plans. Richard N. Siegfried, M.D., L.L.C. is a non-participating provider with most insurance plans. Payment will depend upon your out-of-network or non-participating provider benefits. We suggest that you contact your insurance company prior to your visit to discuss these benefits. You are responsible at the time of the visit for any deductible, co-payment, coinsurance, and charges not covered by your insurance company.
If you are a Medicare patient, Richard N. Siegfried, M.D., L.L.C., is a Medicare Participating Provider. We accept assignment and will bill Medicare for you. However, your responsibilities as the patient include:
If you are covered by multiple insurance plans for the services rendered, please inform us of this. We will bill the services to the secondary insurance company. If your secondary insurance does not pay us within 60 days, we will bill you for the balance due on your account.
After your insurance company processes charges, you will receive a statement from our office indicating any balance due. Payment of the balance is expected within ten (10) days of the billing date on the statement.
We do our best to verify your insurance coverage and limitations. However, you are responsible for keeping us up to date on any changes to your plan or policy. Please inform us of any changes to your insurance coverage.
It is also very important that you inform us of any change to your address, telephone number, or employment.
Thank you for your cooperation.
